Rodrick Shiver, CPA
Managing Partner
Rodrick’s professional knowledge and business skill covers a wide spectrum, including areas such as Accounting and Finance, Tax, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing. As a former Manager at PricewaterhouseCoorpers, the largest public accounting firm in the world, he has advised many of America’s top Fortune 100 companies, while also providing key assistance to small businesses and business start-ups. Rodrick is co-owner of Sunset Tax Services.
A strong promoter of entrepreneurship and civic responsibility, Rodrick lends his talents not just to his career but also to the community. He has unselfishly served on the boards of many nonprofit organizations including Tri-City Visionaries, Columbia Empowerment Zone (CEZ), etc. In his current role as a board member of CEZ, he has been tasked with helping businesses grow and gaining access to capital with the ultimate goal of creating economic growth in Columbia, SC.
Rodrick attended The Citadel Military College in Charleston, SC. Two years later, he was recruited to attend Auburn University- Montgomery in Alabama, also on a full basketball scholarship. He graduated from Auburn-Montgomery with honors in Accounting and Finance, and thereafter worked for IBM in New York City. Rodrick pursued higher education at the University of Connecticut, where he earned his MBA in Finance and Accounting.
Donald Jackson
President
Donald brings 35+ years of tax preparation experience in the public and private sectors. His years of experience were spent with the South Carolina Department of Revenue in various tax related capacities which included, but not limited to, personal tax, business tax, use tax, etc. During his dedicated years of service working for the government, he donated his time to preparing taxes for those in the community and educating individuals about federal and state tax laws. Donald is co-owner of Sunset Tax Services.
As a champion of education, Donald served on the Lexington County District 5 School Board for 18 years promoting education and implementing programs to enhance the educational experience of the youth residing in his district. His dedicated service utlimately led him to be voted by his peers to serve as Chairman of the board for two consecutive terms.
Donald attended Clarion University in Pennsylvania. He graduated with a B.S in Business Administration majoring in Accounting and Management.
